ADMISSIONS

Choosing the right educational option for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make. Your child will spend a large part of his or her childhood at school. It’s important that your child’s school is an educational partner with like-minded values and goals, dedicated to helping your child reach his or her social, emotional, intellectual, physical, and spiritual potential.

St. John XXIII Catholic School (SJ23) is about more than academics. We are about nurturing compassionate learners who are grounded in faith and equipped with skills to be successful far beyond our doors. Students who graduate from SJ23 are known for their strong academic skills, leadership skills, and commitment to their faith.

SJ23 offers families a number of ways to manage and reduce tuition expenses. Families can spread tuition payments over a 10- or 11-month period, “bank” money for the following year’s tuition through our SCRIP program, and take advantage of the Wisconsin Private School Tuition Tax Credit. SJ23 also offers tuition assistance to families in need.

FACTS Tuition Payment Program

FACTS is a national tuition management service that allows families to pay tuition and apply for tuition assistance. Families have the option of a full payment, a 10-month payment plan, or an 11-month payment plan. All families, including those who are part of the Tuition Assistance Program, must use this tuition payment program. Log in or learn more about FACTS.

SCRIP Tuition Reduction Program

To further reduce tuition expenses, SJ23 offers families a cashback component as part of its SCRIP program. SCRIP is a national tuition reduction program that allows families to offset tuition costs to SJ23 with everyday purchases. SCRIP allows the school to sell pre-paid gift cards from hundreds of national and local retailers, restaurants, grocery stores, airlines, gas stations, and hotels and receive a percentage of each card sold. Participating businesses give from 2% to 20% back to the school. Learn more about SCRIP.

SJ23 gives half of the total percentage back to families participating in the program. An account is set up for each participant and money from each SCRIP card purchase is “banked” and applied to the following year’s tuition. You can use SCRIP even if you don’t have children at SJ23. You can choose a family to give your portion of the profit to or you may designate SJ23 and that money will go into the Fr. Glass Negotiated Tuition Scholarship Fund, which will aid families in need of tuition assistance.

Wisconsin Private School Tuition Tax Credit

In 2013, the Wisconsin Legislature approved a state budget bill (2013 Wisconsin Act 20), which established a tuition tax deduction for private school tuition. Parents with dependent children in a private school are now able to receive a tax deduction for tuition.

Tuition Assistance Program

SJ23 offers tuition assistance to families who find meeting tuition expenses for their child or children a financial challenge. Families who apply for tuition assistance are able to negotiate tuition payments through this program. A dedicated fund has been established to assist families interested in giving their child or children the gift of Catholic education.

Manage your tuition payment schedule and apply for financial aid through FACTS, the nation’s leading faith-based school tuition management and payment processing system. Log in or learn more about FACTS.
