Art Teacher
Mrs. Gibson holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (Grades 1–8, Math/English specialty) from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN; a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Real Estate from the University of Cincinnati; and a Math Specialist Graduate Certificate from UW–Stout. She is originally from Northern Kentucky, but as the spouse of a retired Army officer she has lived all over the world, serving as a leader, volunteer, and teacher for numerous military organizations, schools, scouts, and churches.
Cindy and her husband, Michael, have three children: Andrew (28), Emily (24), and Abigail (19). They reside in Grafton and have happily made Wisconsin their home since 2012. Cindy is beginning her 11th year as the art teacher at St. John XXIII and occasionally works as a math support teacher. Prior to teaching at SJXXIII, she worked in the Grafton School District and at Nicolet High School.
She has a passion for art (and math) and loves sharing her creativity with her friends, children, and students. In her free time, Cindy enjoys traveling (including visits to her military son in Hawaii), watching sports—especially the Cincinnati Bengals—attending concerts and Badger football games, reading, kayaking, camping, and spending time with her family, as well as any activities related to the arts.
