The National Beta Club is a student honor society based on high academic achievement, excellent character, and good citizenship. The purpose of the National Beta Club is to promote “the ideals of honesty, service, morality, ethical conduct, and leadership among secondary school students, to reward meritorious achievement, and to encourage and assist students in continuing their education after high school.”
The requirements for this service club are that students are performing at or above grade level (earning a 3 or above) in all classes and maintain good personal character. The St. John XXIII Catholic School (SJ23) Beta Club is a valuable service to those in need and will help organize and raise money for various organizations. The National Beta Club promotes character, develops leadership skills, encourages service involvement, and recognizes achievement. With its motto of “Let us lead by serving others,” members of Beta Club at SJ23 will be expected to maintain qualities of integrity and humility as they strive to lead as servants.
