Special Education Liaison

I grew up in Grafton, and am the oldest of 6 kids. My younger siblings helped inspire me to be a teacher at a young age. I got interested in Special Education when I was teaching swimming lessons in high school, and taught a child that is legally blind how to swim. That experience drove my passion for working with students with special needs. In June of 2023 my husband and I got married at St. Joseph Parish. We enjoy spending time with friends and family, going up north in Wausaukee, and having BBQ’s in the summer time!

A few of my Favorite Things: Spending time with friends/family, playing with my dog (Barnabee), gardening, reading a good book, swimming, traveling, and cooking new recipes I see online.

I graduated from UW- Eau Claire with a comprehensive degree in Elementary and Special Education. Prior to working at SJ23, I was a teacher for 6 years at Days Gone By Christian Early Learning Center in Eau Claire, WI. I moved back to the Milwaukee area to be closer to family, and taught 4th grade for 3 years at St. Mary Parish School in Hales Corners, WI. Last year, I designed the Special Education Program St. Mary’s offers now, and began the Special Needs Scholarship Program at their school.

I have a passion for teaching a wide variety of students and supporting their individual learning styles. I enjoy seeing success and growth in all of my students! I look forward to seeing my students grow academically, spiritually, and in their relationships with one another this year.
