Mrs. Christi Grothman

Mrs. Rachel Chartier

My name is Rachel Chartier, and I am so blessed to be joining the community at St. John XXIII. I grew up in Wichita, Kansas and moved to the Milwaukee area about 16 years ago. I currently live in Cedarburg with my husband, two daughters and two dogs.

Favorite things – taking my dogs for a walk, reading, horseback riding, spending time with my family, and cooking.

I previously worked as a paraprofessional at Stormonth Elementary School in Fox Point.

I graduated from college with my undergrad at Wichita State University. In May, I received my master’s degree in education from Carroll University.

In the classroom, I love seeing how kids think and share their amazing ideas. I want to support each student and help them grow throughout Kindergarten.

I am very excited to start my teaching career at St. John XXIII!

Ms. Kaitra Becker

Kaitra is proud to have been educated at Port Catholic, where her mother taught for almost 20 years.

She loves spending time with her family, especially going on adventures with her nephew and niece. Some of the things she enjoys include spoiling her dogs, baking, jigsawpuzzles and reading.

Catholic Schools have been an important part of Kaitra’s life for as long as she can remember.

Kaitra has a degree in History from UWMilwaukee and received her teaching certification from Cardinal Stritch University.

She began her career teaching 4th grade at Port Catholic. Her journey has since led her to St. Rafael to teach K4 and St. Robert to teach Kindergarten.

“My passion is creating a welcoming and safe classroom family where each child is celebrated and encouraged with caring guidance and support.”

A Little More About Me:

  • I am dedicated to teaching in an environment filled with positivity and rich experiences where each child flourishes and achieves high expectations. Every day in the classroom brings excitement and blessings.
  • Spending time in nature is important to me, and I am even a big fan of our Wisconsin winters.
  • I am so thankful and pleased to be a part of the St. John XXIII family.

Miss Lisa Schmidt

Ms. Lisa Schmidt has been teaching for 34 years at Port Catholic, now St. John XXIII Catholic School.

When she is not teaching, she loves to read, walk on the beach, and travel.

Ms. Lisa currently lives in Port Washington.

She received her Child Care Administrator License through the Department of Health & Family Services.

Her favorite part of her job is being with the children.

“I hope my students find a job that they love as much as I have loved working here.”

A Little More About Me:

  • “Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars.” – Casey Kasem
  • In Pre-3, our goal is to start their school career socially and emotionally strong. We do that by providing a welcoming and nurturing environment that leads all children to become successful learners.
  • Pre-3 offers a place where your child will be nurtured & where the values you teach at home will be reinforced.
