Mrs. Laura Lanser

Mrs. Jenny Zirbes

I have been so blessed to have the support of a loving and caring family. I grew up with 3 awesome older brothers who live close and who I get to see often.

My parents also live close to me and are so active in my life and the lives of my 3 children: Charlie (9), Ellie (7) and Annie (5).

My husband, Peter, and I love to be outside with our family. Whether it’s fishing, swimming or going for walks, we enjoy the outdoors as much as we can in all seasons!

I graduated from UWM in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in History degree and then went on to earn my teaching license from Cardinal Stritch university in 2010. After spending some years in the banking industry I moved back into education as a 4K aide in the Grafton School District. This job made me realize how much I missed working with children and being in a school environment everyday.

Favorite Things: Reading, Baking, Swimming, Pizza, Walking/Hiking, Spending time with family and friends, Cookies, Playing Sports, & Watching my kid’s activities.

I’m so excited to be teaching 4th grade this year! As a St. John XXIII alumni, I am so passionate about catholic education and the strong foundations it builds for children. I’m so honored to be a part of this school community!

I enjoy spending time with my family: camping, hiking, kayaking, biking, walking my dogs, and reading. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 36 years. Our kids have all left the nest and have moved on to the next phase of their lives! I have a married son in Virgina, one in Elkhart Lake and a married daughter in West Bend. My fourth child, second daughter, just graduated from  UW Madison this spring. My youngest graduated high school in 2021 and she  is working at Timmer’s Restaurant on Big Cedar Lake. I attended grade school and high school in Whitehall, Michigan. I completed my undergraduate work at Central Michigan University. My major was English and my minor was reading. In December 2016, I finished my reading license through UW-Oshkosh.
