Visitor Management

St. John XXIII Catholic School is pleased to announce the implementation of the Raptor Visitor Management System, a significant upgrade from traditional paper sign-in methods. This system enhances campus safety for both students and staff by streamlining the check-in process for all visitors and providing real-time alerts. Raptor strengthens campus security by scanning a visitor’s driver’s license or other government-issued ID and cross-referencing the information with a national sex offender database. If a match is detected, district administrators are immediately notified. Upon clearance, the system prints a visitor badge that includes the visitor’s photo, name, date and time of entry, and destination. Additionally, Raptor maintains a comprehensive database of all on-site individuals for security and emergency purposes.

What Is It?

Raptor revolutionizes school visitor management with cutting-edge technology, ensuring safety and convenience for the entire school community. With advanced verification technology and customizable workflows, Raptor helps enhance safety and ensure a secure and seamless visitor experience at our school.

Visitor Procedures:

All visitors, including parents/guardians, contractors/vendors, volunteers, and guest speakers, will use the Raptor System. Visitor ID badges, which are printed on site, must be worn at all times while in our building.

Examples of visitors include:
– A parent volunteering in a classroom or meeting with a teacher during the school day’
– A parent or community member helping with a class project, orientation, or tour;
– A guest speaker; a contracted vendor performing authorized work.

Visitors are asked to:
1) Check-in through the front office of the school;
2) Provide a driver’s license or other government-issued photo ID for scanning in the Raptor system;
3) Receive a printed visitor’s badge before proceeding.
4) Check out of the school office upon leaving (returning your badge).
5) Upon subsequent visits, approved guests only have their name typed into the Raptor system to receive a printed visitor’s badge.

PLEASE NOTE: A visitor’s badge will not be necessary for those who visit simply to drop off an item in the office or pick up paperwork. In other words, if you are not requesting access beyond the front office, you will not be required to present an ID.
